Affiliate disclosure

Short version: some outbound links earn us a commission. It costs you nothing, it's labeled where it happens, and it never changes a score or a recommendation.

SplitAtlas participates in affiliate programs with HVAC retailers and, where relevant, general merchants (including the Amazon Associates Program). When you click certain links to those stores and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

How we keep that honest:

• Scores can't see money. Our product scoring pipeline is computed from performance data using a published methodology (/scoring-methodology). It has no input for affiliate status, and sponsored placements are labeled when they exist.
• We link where the data leads. If the best system for your situation is sold somewhere that pays us nothing, that's still the link you'll get. Retail options on a model page are ordered by availability and price, not by our commission.
• Recommendations survive the links. Remove every affiliate link from this site and the recommendations read identically - that's a design requirement, not a slogan (see /editorial-policy).
• Disclosure at the point of action. Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure notice near those links, not just here.
