Perfect Aire mini splits
Perfect Aire is a DIY-focused value brand, and its whole proposition here is in the line name: Quick Connect - pre-charged line sets that let a capable homeowner install the system without refrigerant handling or EPA certification, the same approach MRCOOL made mainstream.
We track 5 systems, 9,000-34,600 BTU at SEER2 20-22.5, rated to -4F, all DIY-marketed, with 115V options at the small end.
Who should buy Perfect Aire: a DIY installer in a cooling-led climate who wants the quick-connect install path at a lower price than MRCOOL. Who should skip it: anyone relying on it for winter heat, and anyone who wants the deeper catalog and support ecosystem MRCOOL has built.

Overview
- Positioning
- DIY install systems present
- Country
- United States
- Efficiency range
- SEER2 20 to 22.5 / HSPF2 8.4 to 10
- Warranty
- Current Perfect Aire Quick Connect systems list 7-year parts/compressor coverage; terms and registration requirements may apply.
- Dealer/DIY policy
- Perfect Aire Quick Connect systems are DIY-marketed pre-charged line-set kits; electrical work may require a qualified electrician and local code compliance.
What to know about Perfect Aire
- -4F is the ceiling across the whole line, against MRCOOL's -13F standard and -22F Hyper Heat. This is the single biggest difference between the two brands - if you are choosing Perfect Aire over MRCOOL to save money, you are also giving up most of the cold-weather capability.
- SEER2 20-22.5 is competitive with MRCOOL's standard DIY line, so the efficiency trade is small. The heating trade is not.
- Quick-connect line sets are fixed-length and system-specific. Measure the run before you buy, and remember a damaged set is a bigger problem than field-flared copper.
- Perfect Aire publishes no homeowner-facing error-code table we could verify, so there are no Perfect Aire pages in our error-code section. For a DIY brand that is a meaningful gap - the whole point of DIY is being able to diagnose it yourself.
- Electrical work is not covered by the quick-connect exemption. Anything above the 115V models needs a 230V circuit run, which is the step most often left out of a "no contractor" budget.
Perfect Aire sizes and capacities
Room sizes use the same 25 BTU per square foot baseline as our sizing calculator, for an average-insulation room.
- 9,000 BTU - bedroom or office to roughly 350 sq ft, available on 115V.
- 12,000 BTU - large bedroom or living room to roughly 475 sq ft, the most common 115V capacity.
- 18,000 BTU - open-plan space or insulated garage to roughly 700 sq ft. Needs a 230V circuit.
- 24,000 BTU - large open areas to roughly 950 sq ft.
- 34,600 BTU - whole-floor or shop use to roughly 1,380 sq ft, and the top of the range.
