ECC1 means a different indoor unit on the same multi-zone system has detected a refrigerant leak. The fault may not be at the room where you see the code.
- Breadth evidence
- 13 published catalog models on its documented product line.
- Safe first check
- Do not restart cooling or heating. Ventilate the area if you suspect a leak, keep flames/sparks/smoking away, and call a licensed HVAC technician trained for R-454B/A2L equipment. Leave the unit's leak-detection safety system powered unless a technician or emergency authority tells you otherwise; the manual says units with refrigerant sensors must remain powered except for service. Check the other indoor heads only from the room side for a displayed code or buzzer; do not open covers.
