What triggers it

The manual judges a refrigeration-system abnormality from compressor count and operating-parameter changes caused by excessive exhaust temperature.

What to do

  1. Power off, then restart the unit 15 minutes later.
  2. Check for cool or warm air at the indoor outlet.
  3. If there is no cool or warm air, check the system for leakage; repair leakage and recharge refrigerant if leakage is present.
  4. If no leak is found, charge refrigerant appropriately, about 10% of the nameplate charge.
  5. If cool or warm air is present, check whether T2 is loose and whether T1 is too close to the evaporator; correct installation or replace the indoor PCB as directed.

Reset procedure

Power off, then restart the unit 15 minutes later.
