Samsung AUTO CLEAN status display

What it means

Auto Clean is a normal indoor coil drying cycle. The indoor fan may continue briefly after cooling so moisture does not sit on the coil. Manual trigger: Auto Clean means the indoor unit is drying itself after operation.

Likely causes

Homeowner fix

Let Auto Clean finish. If it was enabled by accident, cancel it from the remote and return the system to normal operation.

When to call a pro

Call for service only if Auto Clean will not end, the unit will not respond to normal controls, or odors or water remain after cleaning.

Repair vs replace

This is a normal operating status, not a repair-or-replace decision.
