Senville puts a short alphanumeric code on the indoor display, and several of those codes are status messages rather than faults. Ruling those out first saves a service call, because four of them will make a working system look broken.
Displays that are not faults
- CP - the remote turned the unit off. Restart it from the remote.
- FC - forced cooling mode is active. If you did not turn this on deliberately, cancel it from the remote; while it is running the unit is not following your normal settings.
- FP - low-temperature heating mode is active. Worth checking if you are asking for cooling and getting heat.
- AP - Wi-Fi pairing mode. Finish the setup or exit pairing; it is not a fault.
- DF - the outdoor unit is defrosting. Normal in heating. Let it finish.
- CL and F - filter reminders. Clean or replace the filters and reinstall them fully.
If your display shows any of those, work through them before assuming a failure. Between them, CP and FC explain a large share of "it stopped working" and "it ignores the remote."
The two faults worth trying yourself
Senville publishes 51 codes and most are technician-level, but two are genuine airflow problems that often clear with work you can safely do.
EH03 - the indoor fan speed is out of control. Turn the unit off, clean the washable indoor filter, and check the return and outlet for anything obviously blocking them. Reinstall the filter fully - a missing or misseated filter frame can cause this on its own.
EC07 - the outdoor fan speed is out of control. Turn the unit off and look only through the outdoor grille for leaves, snow or debris. Clear what is loose on the outside of the cabinet. Restore power once, and stop if EC07 comes back.
For both: do not remove panels, and do not power cycle repeatedly. One reset after the airflow work is the right number.
Stop using it if you see these
EHC1, EHC2, EHC3, FHCC or EL0C are refrigerant leak codes. Turn the system off, ventilate the room, keep flames and sparks away, and do not reset it back into service. Senville's current equipment uses A2L refrigerant, which is mildly flammable, and these codes are stop-use events rather than problems to work through. Safe checks
- Read the display first and rule out CP, FC, FP and AP.
- Mode and setpoint - COOL, not AUTO, DRY or FAN, set below room temperature.
- Give it a few minutes. A compressor that just stopped will not restart instantly; that delay is protection, not a fault.
- Filters, then the return and supply air paths.
- Outdoor unit - clearance, a clean coil, and room to discharge air.
- One reset after the airflow work, rather than repeated power cycling.
When to stop and call a technician
Stop if EH03 or EC07 returns after you have cleaned the filters and cleared the outdoor unit. The airflow work was the part you could do; a code that comes back is telling you the cause is further in.
Call immediately for any of the leak codes above, and for any EC5x or EH6x sensor code that survives a single power cycle - those are board and sensor faults, not maintenance.
One thing that works in your favour: Senville builds on a Midea control platform, so its EC, EH and PC code families match those on Midea and ACiQ systems. If your code is thinly documented under the Senville badge, the Midea material describes the same fault. Look yours up in the Senville error-code library so you can tell whoever you call exactly what the unit is reporting.
