Fujitsu AIRSTAGE H-series 36k XLTH Concealed Ducted R-32 208/230V Mini-Split
This is for a home where you want mini-split heating and cooling but don't want to see the indoor unit. It hides above a ceiling or in a closet and feeds a group of rooms through short ducts. Paired with Fujitsu's cold-climate outdoor unit, it puts out more heat at 5F than on a mild day and keeps heating down to -15F.
The catch is the ductwork. How quietly and evenly it runs depends on the duct design, the return-air path and the installer's care. A hidden, ducted system also gives up efficiency compared with a wall-mounted one. It needs a dealer install and a much bigger circuit than Fujitsu's small heads.

Strengths
- Out of sight: there's no unit on the wall, just grilles in the ceiling.
- Strong in the cold with the XLTH outdoor unit, making more heat at 5F than its mild-day rating.
- Quiet in the room when the ducts are designed well.
Weaknesses
- Duct design makes or breaks it. Static pressure, the return-air path, drain access and service space all have to be right.
