The Zeno 18k covers a mid-size room at GREE's entry price, certifying SEER2 18 with a -13F heating floor. At 1.5 tons the efficiency gap starts to matter - the Livo 18k at SEER2 20 and the Envo 18k at SEER2 24.5 both recover their price difference through the bill if you run the system hard. Zeno makes most sense in a room used intermittently.

Purchase channel policy

GREE publishes an online/retail warranty-claim path for equipment purchased online, Home Depot, or Lowes rather than treating online purchase as a warranty voidance.

Warranty impact
Online purchase changes the claim path: routine parts use GREE's online claim form, while compressor failures and refrigerant leaks require tech-support confirmation before the online claim.
Installation condition
Warranty claims for online/retail purchases must be completed by a contractor after an on-site diagnosis, with required documentation such as purchase receipt or installation invoice and data-plate photos.
Authorized channel
GREE distributor path for distributor purchases; GREE online warranty claim form for equipment purchased online, Home Depot, or Lowes; GREE offers a 10-year extended warranty through GREE Select dealers, with registration.

GREE online purchases have a manufacturer-published warranty path, but buyers should keep purchase and installation documents and use a licensed HVAC contractor for diagnosis and claims.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the GREE Zeno R32 18,000 BTU R-32 208/230V (WZEN18HPJ132AH / WZEN18HPJ132AO) myself, or do I need a pro?
GREE Zeno R32 18,000 BTU R-32 208/230V (WZEN18HPJ132AH / WZEN18HPJ132AO) is built for professional installation: the line set must be flared, evacuated, and charged, which requires EPA-certified refrigerant handling. Installing it outside the manufacturer's requirements can void the warranty, so budget for a qualified HVAC installer.
Will the GREE Zeno R32 18,000 BTU R-32 208/230V (WZEN18HPJ132AH / WZEN18HPJ132AO) keep heating in a cold winter?
The AHRI/ENERGY STAR certification lists 10,000 BTU/h of heating capacity at 5F. Rated heating operation extends down to -13 F. Certified heating efficiency is 8.2 HSPF2. Match those numbers against your climate's design temperature - in cold regions, output at 5F matters far more than the nameplate capacity measured at 47F.
What electrical circuit does the GREE Zeno R32 18,000 BTU R-32 208/230V (WZEN18HPJ132AH / WZEN18HPJ132AO) need?
Published electrical requirements: 230 V voltage, 13 A minimum circuit ampacity, and 15 A maximum breaker or fuse sizing. Confirm the final circuit against the unit nameplate and local code with a licensed electrician.
How far can the outdoor unit be from the indoor head?
The published maximum line-set length is 82 ft. The outdoor unit's factory charge covers up to 25 ft of line; longer runs need added refrigerant. Measure the planned routing before ordering.
What warranty does the GREE Zeno R32 18,000 BTU R-32 208/230V (WZEN18HPJ132AH / WZEN18HPJ132AO) carry?
The manufacturer publishes these warranty tiers: Base: 5 yr parts / 7 yr compressor (eligible residential system). Score uses Base.. Registration requirements and proof of qualified installation commonly affect coverage, so read the warranty terms before install day.
